Did you get the chance to work together at all, or were you pretty much recording lines on your own?ĭamion Poitier: It was dependent on the situation. Kerby Joe Grubb: Sheriff Norris is his name, but I mean, what else are you going to call that guy? ![]() Michael Madsen: Everybody's got a cool-sounding name, you see. He's the sheriff who's chasing all the crime in town, so you come up against him on a regular basis. Your big rival is, of course, Chuck Norris. Then, some others that we'll leave to be revealed. Trejo's character, The Dragon, as well as Vanilla Ice's character, Hielo. Poitier's character, Nasara, is on your squad. ![]() Rooker's character, Touchdown, is on your squad, and Mr. Basinger's character, Casey, is on your squad, Mr. Kerby Joe Grubb: You have the opportunity to play multiple characters, but for the main focus, if you want to play the main turf war of the game, you are Travis Baker. It's a good product.Īre you all playing player characters? I'd love to hear more about who you are in this game. I can't over-explain it at this point, but it's been a good trip. Michael Madsen: We were just talking about that before you came in. So, I was a veteran in certain ways, but in other ways, still very new to coming from that beginning process to where we got to. It's hard to describe what's so special about it, what's so amazing a part of that process, but it was very welcoming. going from "What's the character's name?" to seeing it on screen. You have a certain amount of influence as a performer to mold the characters that you play, depending on what you're taking on, but being a writer on it is such a different experience. Coming on as a writer of a video game is very different than being a performer. Coming into this, did you feel less pressure as a sort of veteran?ĭamion Poitier: Yes and no, because this is the most immersed I've been on a video game production. It's my chance to be one of those boys that I watched growing up in the movies.ĭamion, you've worked on a 505 Games project before. It became a privilege to me, and it was a kickback to me. this kind of thing, I'm very new to it, and I didn't know how cool it was. There was a lot of talent back in those days that is not around anymore in a certain way. Michael Madsen: Anybody who's going to write that, you know they know what they're doing. When I read that script, and I read the line, I wanted to be in the movie. Michael Madsen: That was one of the greatest lines. Kerby Joe Grubb: I bet you're a big Lee Marvin fan, aren't you? I'm a big fan of (Humphrey) Bogart, and, good Lord, Robert Mitchum, Lee Marvin. Michael Madsen: For me, I'm a slave of old pictures. Madsen's character, and in your quest to take over the city, you have lots of options, lots of obstacles, and lots of kickass. One of the many objects of the game is a turf war to take over Rockay City, to be the crime king of Rockay City. Kerby Joe Grubb: It's a organized crime game set in a fictitious city in Florida called Rockay city in the 1990s. Can you fill me in on the story, and what I'd need to know coming in as a player? Screen Rant: I just saw the trailer for this game about thirty seconds ago, and that's all the information I have.
